Subject to necessary paperwork being completed, the 'surplus six' tramcars were sold at the Murrays Auction House in Douglas on 27 August.  The hammer prices realised for the tramcars were:

Lot 1 (Winter Saloon No.28) - £2,800
Lot 2 (Sunshade No.33) -  £1,200
Lot 3 (Sunshade No.34) - £1,300
Lot 4 (Sunshade No.37) - £1,100
Lot 5 (Toastrack No.39) - £1,800
Lot 6 (Toastrack No.40) - £1,000

Sales were subject to 20% Value Added Tax and a Buyer's Premium of 18%.  Successful bidders now have the obligation to remove the tramcars from Strathallan Depot and transport them elsewhere at their own cost before 30 September 2017.
